Understanding straight vs. splayed curbs

With a straight curb, the roof opening equals the daylight size. With a splayed curb, the roof opening is 20 cm larger than the daylight size. For example: if you select a daylight size of 100 × 100 cm, the roof opening with a splayed curb will be 120 × 120 cm.

  • Straight curb 20/00 (20 cm high – Standard for iWindow & iDome): the standard choice for iWindow and iDome. 20 cm high, straight design, suitable for fixed and openable skylights.
  • Splayed curb 16/20 (16 cm high, roof opening +20 cm): increases the roof opening compared to daylight size. Ideal for fixed skylights and domes.
  • Straight curb 16/00 (16 cm high – Not suitable for iWindow): budget-friendly straight curb for Skylux domes and skylights, but not for iWindow or iDome.
  • Straight curb 20/00 (20 cm high – Stackable & suitable for iWindow & iDome): same as the standard straight curb, but stackable for projects requiring additional height.
  • Splayed curb 30/20 (30 cm high, roof opening +20 cm): taller splayed curb for extra roof height. Increases roof opening compared to daylight size. Perfect for fixed skylights and domes, not recommended for iWindow.
